Program Overview

Leash Logic is a leash walking bootcamp in SW Calgary, that is designed for dogs and their humans who want calmer, less chaotic walks.

In this 4.5 hour seasonal outdoor program (3x1.5 hour classes), Cat will guide you and your canine best friend with patience, practical tools and tips and touch of nerdy-magic. With Cat’s support, you will learn how to stop the pulling and calm the chaos.

You can expect a hands-on learning experience centered on essential walking skills such as focus, navigating distractions, leash handling, turning, stopping, changing speed.

Leash Logic is about more than just leash manners - it’s about building trust, communication and teamwork.

*This program is held outdoors. Flexibility is needed when registering. Any classes cancelled due to weather will be deferred to end of scheduled classes.

What You Will Learn

Leash Mechanics

You will learn critical leash handling skills such as holding the leash, braking, turning, slowing down, and speeding up.

Focus

You’ll learn how to help your dog develop their focus, even in the face of distractions like leaves blowing in the wind, passing dogs or people, and those dreaded squirrels!

Behavior Problem - Solving

You’ll receive support in real time for behaviours like chewing or grabbing the leash, going on strike (not moving), navigating specific distractions and other leash walking shenaningans.

Teamwork

You will learn how to work as a team. This is about communication, understanding and the art of compromise.

  • Price: $199 + GST/4.5 hour program

Vaccinations

Dogs must be up-to-date on their vaccinations (Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella) to attend classes.
