Leash Walking Intensive in Calgary
Program Overview
Leash Logic is a leash walking intensive in SW Calgary for dogs who pull, zigzag, or drag their humans toward distractions (squirrels, leaves blowing in the wind or perhaps straight into snowbanks.)
If you’re feeling frustrated, exhausted, or simply ready for calmer, more controlled walks, this program is for you.
In this 8-hour seasonal outdoor program (4 × 2-hour classes), Cat will teach you how to stop the pulling, calm the chaos, and regain control and connection.
You can expect a hands-on learning experience with your dog. We will explore leash mechanics, movement, pacing, distractions, and the individual nuances that shape how you and your dog move together.
For serious pullers, Cat will introduce a specialized walking system (kit) designed to reduce pulling by changing how force is distributed through the leash. This kit is optional and purchased separately.
This program is held outdoors. Flexibility is required when registering. Any classes cancelled due to weather will be added to the end of the scheduled session.
What You Will Learn
Leash Mechanics
You will learn critical leash handling skills such as holding the leash, braking, turning, slowing down, and speeding up.
Focus
You’ll learn how to help your dog develop their focus, even in the face of distractions like leaves blowing in the wind, passing dogs or people, and those dreaded squirrels!
Behavior Problem - Solving
You’ll receive support in real time for behaviours like chewing or grabbing the leash, going on strike (not moving), navigating specific distractions and other leash walking shenaningans.
Teamwork
You will learn how to work as a team. This is about communication, understanding and the art of compromise.

Vaccinations
Dogs must be up-to-date on their vaccinations (Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella) to attend classes.
