Program Overview
Trail Hunt International Foundations Plus is a seasonal, outdoor scent detection–meets–tracking course in SW Calgary for dogs (5 months and up) and their humans who have completed Trail Hunt International Foundations.
Over the course of four 2-hour classes (8 hours total), Cat will challenge you and your dog with more complex games that will continue to put your dog’s nose to the test!
You’ll learn how to introduce pre-work routines and “Trail Pod” indications. You will start laying more complex trails that challenge your teamwork and your dog’s problem-solving, with a special focus on eliminating the influence of human scent.
What You Will Learn
Skills Advancement
Your dog will refine their tracking skills, with complex trails that remove the influence of human odor
Team Work
You and your dog will learn pre-tracking routines, and Trail Pod indication creating clarity and confidence in your work as a team.
Trouble Shooting
Making mistakes is a natural part of learning for dogs and people. You’ll learn important skills like what to do when your dog loses the trail or gets stuck.
Life Skills
Your dog build focus, emotional regulation and problem-solving abilities that go beyond the trail, equipping them to tackle everyday challenges with confidence.

Vaccinations
To attend classes, dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations (Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella or titres).
