Puppy Potential | Trusted Puppy Training in SW Calgary

The Art and Heart of Puppy Raising in Calgary

Program Overview:

Puppy Potential is a comprehensive puppy training and socialization program in SW Calgary. This course helps you and your puppy build a solid foundation of trust, emotional regulation, social skills, and essential life lessons as you begin your life together.

Over six weeks, our experienced puppy coaches will guide your puppy’s development — helping them make new friends, explore the world with confidence, learn basic obedience and manners, and begin building healthy emotional habits.

And because growing up comes with some bumps, we’ll also support you through common challenges like chewing, stealing things (like your favorite sneakers) biting, house training conundrums, and those chaotic puppy “witching hours.”

What You’ll Learn:

Socialization

You can expect a deep-dive into the science and art of socialization. This is about so much more than socialization check-lists and “exposure”. This intentional and dynamic process includes understanding personal space, “reading the room,” and learning how to adapt communication to interact with puppies of various sizes, temperaments, and play styles. Your puppy will learn vital social skills like consent, mirroring, and how to regulate play.

Basic Obedience (in Real Life)

The skills component of Puppy Potential is a dynamic, hands-on learning experience where you and your puppy practice skills while navigating real interactions. You’ll work on cues like sit, go behind, relax on a mat, drop, and follow me. We’ll also cover leash walking, recall, and life hacks for everyday handling (collars, paws, grooming, etc.).

Bite Inhibition

This is an essential skill for every puppy. Your pup will learn how to use their mouth safely and gently with both humans and other dogs.

Manners & Problem Prevention

Your puppy will learn to interact calmly and respectfully with others through a dynamic and practical process that mirrors real-life. Our nerdy instructors will give you the wisdom and insights that your need prevent problem behaviours before they start—things like resource guarding, excessive barking, fast eating, and more! We go way beyond the basics with nuanced guidance you won’t find in a book or online.

Confidence Building & Enrichment

A confident puppy is a calm, resilient puppy—that’s our mantra! This program includes confidence-building and problem-solving activities tailored to your puppy’s level, helping them learn to navigate challenges and grow into the brave, awesome little puppy they’re meant to be.

Real Puppies. Real Potential.

“We’re just wrapping up our 6-week course with Cat from ImPAWSible Possible, and it’s been fantastic. Cat was recommended to us through AARCS, and she’s provided so much valuable support—not just in class, but also with specific puppy behaviour challenges along the way.

She has a unique and deeply informed understanding of dog behaviour, and her calm, natural approach creates a safe, positive space where dogs are eager to learn. You can tell she truly understands and respects each dog as an individual.

Highly recommend Cat to anyone looking for thoughtful, effective training. Much appreciated, Cat—love, Coco 🐶.”
