Program Overview
Puppy Potential is a comprehensive training and socialization program in SW Calgary.
In this 6 week course , Cat will guide you and your puppy through this vital stage of development.
Expect an immersive learning experience focused on social development, resiliency, confidence building, obedience, manners, aggression prevention, and real-time support for common challenges like biting, zoomies, and housetraining.
At the heart of Puppy Potential is Pooch Peacebuilding, a dynamic, real-time framework grounded in dialogue and mutual understanding, that helps us meet the dogs and people in the program exactly where they are at. It allows the course to evolve in real time with the needs of each class, dog, and family.
Puppy Potential is about connection, hands-on learning, and raising a confident, capable family member.
What You Will Learn
Socialization
Your puppy will learn key social skills such as awareness of personal space, reading the room, and how to adapt to dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and play styles. They'll also develop important abilities like seeking consent, mirroring, and regulating themselves during play.
Puppy Obedience & Manners
You’ll learn foundational puppy obedience and manners including “follow me,” “go behind,” “middle,” “gentle,” “drop it,” “say hello,” recall, leash walking, and so much more!
Everyday Skills
We will teach you skills for everyday life such as calming your puppy down, getting them to help put on their collars, leashes, standing still for vet and grooming etc.
Problem Prevention
We will help you prevent problem behaviours like aggression, bullying and leash reactivity before they start.
Troubleshooting
You’ll receive support as needed for typical puppy challenges like biting, jumping up, chewing, housetraining, and jumping up.
Bite Inhibition
You will learn how to teach your puppy to use their mouth gently and safely with both humans and other dogs.

Puppies aged 12–20 weeks and their humans (up to 3 family members).

Price: $299 + GST / 6 hour program

Vaccinations
To attend class, puppies must have received their second round of vaccines (DHPP and Bordetella). Rabies is not required prior to starting.
