Adolescent Ascent | Dog Obedience Training in Calgary

Help for Teenage Dogs in Calgary

Program Overview:

Adolescent Ascent is a dog obedience class in SW Calgary designed to help you and your dog navigate the twists and turns of adolescence with confidence. This 8-hour program (8 x 1-hour or 4 x 2-hour sessions) will teach you how to work as a team, building a reliable framework of obedience, impulse control, emotional regulation, social awareness, and manners.

Adolescence is a challenging phase, but with the right tools and guidance, you and your dog can overcome these hurdles and come out stronger. Why Sign Up for Adolescent Ascent in SW Calgary:

  • Turn chaos into connection by building trust, teamwork, and clear communication during your dog’s most confusing (and comical) developmental stage.

  • Support your teenage dog’s big feelings with proven tools for emotional regulation, impulse control, and focus—even when the squirrels are winning.

Learn the real-life obedience skills that matter the most—like recall, leash walking, polite greetings, and ignoring that tempting snack on the counter.

  • Tackle common teenage dog behaviours like jumping, counter-surfing, selective hearing, and testing all the boundaries (with compassion, not frustration).

  • Understand your dog’s social world with training that includes personal space bubbles and promote social awareness.

  • Build your intuitive superpowers as a human—like micro-signaling, problem-solving, and leading with calm confidence.

Boost your dog’s resiliency and self-control through fun, purposeful games (hello, Energy Blasters!) that channel all that energy into learning.

  • Nerdy, heart-led instruction from trainers who get it—because we’ve lived through adolescence too (and survived to tell the tale).
