Testimonials
"I have known Catherine Harbord in a variety of capacities since early 2006. She is a running companion for one of my dogs, a small business owner and a friend.
Catherine was hired (from one of her advertisements) to run my very active boxer named Scout. Wow, that was the best thing I ever did for Scout. Catherine not only ran Scout, she also took it upon herself to help Scout work through some of her doggie issues.
Catherine has brought so much into her daily contact with Scout above and beyond the running as exercise. She has made tremendous gains with Scout and more importantly; Scout is thriving under her tutelage. Catherine has managed to earn Scout’s respect and trust and hence has been able to provide Scout with an assertive yet understanding environment to be Scout. This keeps Scout calm.
More importantly, she continues to work with Scout despite the fact that she now has to gently walk Scout and accommodate her slow degenerative paralysis. Scout beams when Catherine is around. She has connected with Scout in such a supportive manner. And for this I am grateful.
Her love of animals is apparent in the way she strives to educate and train herself, her canine companions and their owners. She continually works with the dogs, based on their individual needs. She understands that there isn’t a “one way” only method for training and I think this helps her to establish a respectful working relationship with her dogs. She’s able to quickly assess each dog and the situation and respond accordingly.
As a business owner she is organized, efficient and very competent. Catherine has developed key interpersonal skills such as assertiveness, listening and conflict-resolution. Catherine is able to relate to and work with a wide variety of people and their pets. She is very capable of handling conflict which means that she is very open to the ideas of others and very willing to put forward her own ideas – essential skills required for problem solving.
And as a friend, Catherine is open, sharing and very understanding. She is passionate and dedicated to whatever she sets her mind to accomplish""
"My wife and I have had the pleasure of knowing Catherine Harbord for the past two years, through her business, ImPAWSible Possible (formerly Rocky Mountain Canine). During this time, Catherine has exercised our dog Louis.
On meeting Catherine, we were struck by her affection for animals and immediate rapport with Louis. Since that time Catherine has demonstrated her warmth, affection and concern for Louis' well-being.
We particularly appreciated the steps that she took to alter his exercise regime on hot or cold days, and her sensitivity to his needs on days when he was not feeling well. I am grateful to Catherine for training Louis to run safely and properly when on the leash (something I had been unable to do).
From a client perspective, we find that Catherine is attentive, responsive and communicative. We particularly appreciate that she communicates her timing with us, including sending me a text-message when she drops Louis at home. I have even come home on occasion to find that Catherine has cleared the snow from our front doorstep.
We are also impressed by Catherine's abilities as an entrepreneur, both in respect of her pet care services and outfitting company. She identified a niche in Calgary, marketed herself and capitalised on her creativity through hard work. She is obviously passionate about her business and cares for her pets and clients. Catherine's sense of customer service and genuine kindness shines by any standard"
