Catherine "Cat" Harbord, Owner

For Cat, ImPAWsible Possible is the culmination of her passion for people, her love of animals, and her conviction that through commited action, that one person really can "be the change" and change the world. Cat, whose formal education is in aeronautics, left the corporate world in 2005 in order to found Rocky Mountain Canine: the predecessor of ImPAWsible Possible. Cat's extensive experience in canine exercise and behavioral training and rehabilitation, combined with her unique gift of seeing the deepest level of connection (or " mirror") that exists between owners and their canine companions, creates opportunities to facilitate transformation in both. Cat's sincerest hope would be to see the hearts and lives of people and communities transformed through the human-canine bond.

Cat is currently enrolled in a year long, intensive CPDT apprenticeship program in Calgary, AB. The CPDT, which is one of few certifying bodies for dog trainers in Canada and the USA, promotes the use of humane and scientific training practices and protocals based on education, examination and experiential evidence. Cat embraces any opportunity to "talk dog" with people as a means to promote understanding and harmony between the two species. Cat looks forward to the launching of ImPAWSible Possible's full spectrum of dog training and rehabilitation services in the summer of 2010.

(Yes we know it is ironic that someone named “Cat” is working with dogs…)
